We got a late start to our day. The family kindly let Ben and me sleep in a bit.
Our goal destination was Hampton Court, but traffic won. So we headed to see Kew Gardens instead. Kew Gardens is quite large and consisted of several different types of landscape, each lovely in their own way. Along our walk was a badger, but he was faster than my picture taking skills. We must have walked several miles and enjoyed the wet stroll. Did I mention it rained the entire day? Good thing we brought umbrellas!
The driving here is not for the faint of heart. Roads are narrow. Cars are often driving into oncoming traffic to pass parked cars taking up part of the driving lanes. Total chaos yet totally legal! Alexia's husband, Ruel (not sure how to spell it), has been our chauffeur. There is a lot of congested traffic (guess they need some cold & sinus meds ;-) ). It doesn't bother me as I am used to it from CA, but others seem tense in the car.
